Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, soft tissue examination, diagnosis using an intra-oral camera (which magnifies your teeth considerably and allows you to see what Dr. Ali sees) and treatment recommendations. We will also take a Full Mouth series of x-rays, utilizing digital radiography which lessens your exposure to radiation by up to 90%.  Your initial oral examination will also include laser measurements using the DIAGNOdent to detect decay that may not be discernable on x-rays or by the eye. 

Periodontal Treatment
You should have a standard cleaning at least twice a year. A periodontal treatment includes an Adult Prophy (basic cleaning). If it has been over a year since your last cleaning, possible treatment will include either Periodontal Scaling (deeper than a basic cleaning) or Root Planning and Scaling (requires anesthetic).

Cosmetic Procedures
The purpose of cosmetic dentistry is to give you a very beautiful and natural smile that also keeps your mouth able to function as nature intended.

Cosmetic dentistry procedures can include crowns, veneers, orthodontics, gum surgery, etc., depending upon your individual needs.

• Teeth Whitening (Bleaching)
  Our state-of-the-art, in-office Power Bleaching system utilizing the Zoom! Teeth Whitening System (as seen on Extreme Makeover) will make your teeth whiter in less than 1.5 hours. Another option is our home bleaching system you take with you for results in 2 weeks. You can also consider a combination program of both systems for optimal, long-term results.

• Crowns and Veneers
  At Dr. Ali’s office, you can have a new smile with full ceramic restorations.  Full ceramic restorations throughout the mouth will give you very natural looking teeth as opposed to the porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns utilized by many dentists in the posterior (back of the mouth), and will be bonded to your existing tooth structure for maximum strength and longevity.

• Inlays and Onlays
  Inlays and onlays are ceramic, tooth colored restorations which are bonded to the tooth like a crown.  Both inlays and onlays bridge the gap between fillings and crowns.  They are an excellent choice when a cavity is too big to support a conventional filling and a more conservative approach than a ceramic crown is desired.

• Fillings: Resin Only
  We are a metal-free office and only use tooth-colored resin fillings that are light cured to match your teeth.  We never use silver-colored (amalgam) filings.

• Orthodontics
  We provide both conventional and invisalign® orthodontics.

Dental Implants
Dr. Ali has extensive training in dental implant placement and background in researching the delivery of dental implants. He was privileged to work under the stewardship of Dr. Philip Boyne, one of the early pioneers of dental implants and bone grafting.   Dr. Ali has been seating dental implants for more than twenty (20) years, and held teaching positions within the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Departments of the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, San Bernardino County Medical Center and Riverside General Hospital.

Dr. Ali is one of the few general dentists in Northern California who can provide his patients with the full scope of dental implant services including prosthetic or surgical dental implant alternatives to replace a missing single tooth, missing multiple teeth, or replace a removable appliance.

Root Canals
We perform all necessary root canals in-house, utilizing our surgical microscope and state-of-the-art root canal materials and instruments.

Removable Dental Prosthesis
For missing teeth, we can make dentures or removable partials for you, or place an implant to support your removable, partial or full denture, making it more stable.
